Round Fluted Columns
We offer our Round Fluted Columns in three different materials. Fiberglass, our most popular, Synthetic Stone, our lightweight stronger than stone alternative, and FRP, our lightest option. We also have GFRC for anyone who wants a segmented stone look. All of our options are available in any of the sizes listed below, with diameters as small as 8 inches up to 48 inches wide. Our columns also reach up to 34 feet in height, and we exclusively use composite materials so that we can offer a true lifetime warranty. Our products are built to last, but without cutting out the elegance of the architectural styles they emulate. Most of our round fluted columns come with a Tuscan Capital support ring (Item E in the diagram below) that is removable if another capital is desired. Columns 6 to 12 inches in diameter do not come with the Tuscan Capital support ring. Please note that our Structural Support chart translates best to our Fiberglass columns due to variances between polymer stone and FRP column thicknesses, however we would be more than happy to provide a specific shop drawing based on your material of choice. Please email or call us at 877-279-9993 with any questions.
|Column Diameter||Bottom Shaft Diameter||Top Shaft Diameter||Bead Width||Cut At Bead Loss||First Ring||Average Wall Thickness||Available Lengths (feet)|
*Columns 6″ to 12″ do not have a ring (E) above the astragal to hold a Tuscan Capital. Average wall thickness is true for our Fiberglass product due to variances in the thickness of our Synthetic (Polymer) Stone and our FRP, which are thicker and thinner respectively. GFRC specs are available by request. Please email us with any questions.

Please note that this chart is for our Fiberglass Columns. Our Synthetic (Polymer) Stone columns are usually a little thicker, and our FRP are usually a bit thinner. Usually the sizes can still match the support sizes as listed, as columns that surround structural supports are usually split for reassembly, and the chart is written with allowances for kerf. Split columns are no longer load bearing. Please bear in mind decorative capitals have a much smaller inside diameter and therefore this chart is not applicable for them. To insure that your column fits as intended please let us know ahead of time the shape and size of the structural support to be encased. When a non-split column is ordered it is assumed it will not be surrounding a structural support, therefore if this is indeed the intention please let us know at the time of order the size of the structural support to be encased. Our FRP Columns come pre-split as they are intended for wrapping purposes, although we will be happy to assemble them at the time of production. Please be aware they will not be able to carry nearly as much weight as our Fiberglass or Synthetic (Polymer) Stone columns and are not intended to be load bearing.
