Tuscan Caps and Bases
We offer Tuscan capitals and bases in every imaginable size and material. If you are trying to match a particular style or do a historic restoration, we can do it. If you are trying to replace rotted wood bases with composite products, we can make ours with any hole opening that you may require. If your column shaft sits on top of the base, we offer that option as well. If you don’t know the hole opening that you need, simply measure the circumerence or the width of your existing pillar and we will figure out the hole opening for you. For our round columns, we are able to make the plinth, or the square portion of the cap/base, round. Depending on the size and use of these products, slight variations to the design may occur, including but not limited to, removal of certain details to accommodate wider hole openings. These products come with a limited lifetime warranty and will endure the harshest traffic areas and the most extreme weather conditions. We also offer Roman Doric sets which are slightly more detailed than Tuscan. We offer the Attic Base for round columns which is the most ornate and is most typically used with decorative capitals, although not exclusively. See our Decorative Capitals. If you are purchasing an entire column from us and want to see all the parts together, please request a shop drawing of the column, cap, and base configuration that you want. Pictures below are not to scale and represent our fiberglass material line. Other materials will vary in design: Please request specific images or shop drawings to insure that you receive products to your desire or click on the links below to see our other materials.
Attic Base and Craftsman sets
Our Attic Bases are available for all of our round columns: We offer these with a square or round plinth. In addition to the Tuscan order, our square columns are available with craftsman style caps and bases. The set can be the same height or the cap can be made shorter than the base. Our Craftsman columns are available in Fiberglass, FRP, Synthetic Stone, GFRC, Polyurethane, and Cellular PVC with various caps/bases not pictured here: Click Here to see the styles that we offer.
